Putting your photos on DVD slideshows is a great way to display your holiday memories. However, programs differ in their ease of use at allowing you to do this and the possibilities they offer to spice up your shows. Photo DVD Creator is certainly one of the simplest creators I've tried although it lacks a few important features to make it really great.

Photo DVD Creator is clearly aimed with beginners in mind. It aims to reduce DVD Photo creation to just three steps. Once completed, your photos will have transitions, music and text accompanying them. In terms of transitions, the program offers over 180 to make your slideshow look really professional. As you compile your slideshow, you can preview it as you go along. One good thing is that you won't have to mess around converting images - it accepts photos in JPG/GIF/BMP/TGA and TIF format.

However, it is very limited in range. It doesn't allow you to add moving images, edit photos or give you a great deal of general control over the slideshow sequence. For a photo novice, it's a great program but more experienced users will be disappointed.
